Li River Cruise Tickets: Piers and Booking
A standard Guilin–Yangshuo Li River cruise travels downstream, so it is a one-way day plan. Before paying, match the ticket to its boarding pier, vessel class, sailing date and Yangshuo arrival point.
- Route: Guilin to Yangshuo is the usual downstream cruise direction.
- Departure: tickets may name Zhujiang or Mopanshan pier; use the pier on your booking.
- Booking: check vessel class, meal, boarding window and transfer.
- Return: arrange Yangshuo onward transport separately unless included.
How Do You Reach the Right Pier?
Cruise tickets can use different piers outside central Guilin. Zhujiang and Mopanshan are common names, but the exact pier on your ticket controls where you go. Do not ask a driver only for “the Li River pier.”

What Does the Ticket Include?
Compare the vessel class, seat or deck access, meal, hotel pickup, luggage terms and cancellation rule. Two listings called “Li River cruise” may offer different cabins and transport even when they share the river.
Check whether the stated price covers both the boat and road transfers. Ask for the boarding pier and Yangshuo landing point in writing. Keep the booking code and passenger names together.
What Will You See on the River?
The cruise passes limestone hills, working riverbanks and villages before reaching Yangshuo. Views change with mist, light and water level; deck time is more useful than expecting one fixed photo angle.

How Long Should You Allow?
Reserve most of the day, not just the time printed as “cruise duration.” Your schedule also includes travel to the pier, ticket check, boarding, sailing and transfer from the Yangshuo landing point.
If your next stop is Guilin airport or railway station, plan a land return with a generous margin. The cruise does not normally take you back upstream to your starting pier.
Which Booking Mistakes Are Common?
Do not purchase from a listing that hides the exact pier or finish point. A low boat price can become expensive when hotel transfers, meals or onward transport are added later.
Do not leave large luggage plans until boarding morning. Ask whether bags can travel on your selected vessel and how you will move them from the Yangshuo pier.
FAQ: What Should You Know?
Do all cruises leave from the same pier? No. Check the named departure pier on your ticket. Zhujiang and Mopanshan serve different cruise products.
Does a cruise ticket include a return to Guilin? Usually the boat journey ends in Yangshuo. A road return or onward transfer must be included in writing or arranged separately.
Can I choose my boat class after booking? Do not assume so. Select the vessel class and included services before paying, then keep the accepted booking.
